Market Report – 32nd Annual All Breeds Bull & Female Sale

Saturday 8th of August 2020

Kempsey Stock and Land’s 32nd Annual All Breeds Bull and Female sale held last Saturday at the Kempsey Regional Saleyards saw an impressive line up of bull and females. With the cattle market bubbling along strongly, the 110 registered buyers were keen to secure top quality bulls and females, with the top bull making $10,600 and stud females selling to $5,400.

Angus bulls made up the largest number breed wise, and the $10,600 top price bull belonged to a lovely sire from Promised Land Stud near Bellingen. A Santa Gertrudis bull sold to $8,300 from Paul Sherd’s Glen Vista Stud, while a Blue Mango Brangus bull made $7,000. A Glenlea Charolais sire made $5,000, while a shorthorn bull from Eungella Stud sold for $4,800 and a Banarra Brahman sire made $4,200.

Demand for the females on offer was very strong – joined Brangus heifers from Phoenix Park Brangus sold to $2,800, while Charolais heifers topped at $4,000. A joined red Brahman heifer from Banarra Brahmans topped the female section at $5,400, while Glenlea Beef sold a Sim/Angus cow and calf for $5,200.

Thank you once again to our Vendors, Bidders and Saleyard Staff for making our Annual Bull Sale possible!
