CHANGES TO LPA NVDS IN 2020

There has been a number of important changes made to the LPA National Vendor Declaration (NVD) this year. These changes are in response to a review by SAFEMEAT in 2019 which recommended a number of minor changes to improve the efficiency and usability of the document across the supply chain.

The changes include:

  • LPA NVD version updates
  • the release of a new electronic National Vendor Declaration (eNVD) system
  • decommissioning of the eDEC system

Updated NVD Version

Updated versions of LPA NVDs for all species have been available since 1 July 2020, identified by version number 0720. This is now the current version.

From 1 January 2021:

  • Only the current version (0720) will be accepted for all species of livestock movements
  • Transfers completed using incorrect LPA NVD versions are a breach of the LPA Rules and Standards and may result in Corrective Action Requests (CARs) being issued to the LPA accredited producer
  • Multiple CARs can lead to suspension from the LPA program. Without LPA accreditation, producers cannot access LPA NVDs

More information on the LPA NVD, including 'How to Complete' PDF guides is available here.

Accessing an LPA NVD in a hurry

In the event of livestock being transported with a non-current LPA NVD version, producers will need to use the eNVD system to generate an LPA NVD.

If a producer knows their LPA credentials and has access to a mobile device, laptop or desktop with internet access, they can create an instant consignment using https://envds.integritysystems.com.au.

If a producer does not have access to their LPA credentials and/or access to a device/computer with internet connectivity, they should contact the ISC Helpdesk on 1800 683 111 who can assist by starting the consignment on the producer's behalf.

  • ISC customer service officers will ask the producer a number of mandatory questions including movement information, species and if other forms are to be included (such as an animal health statement)
  • Once this information is provided a PDF file will be generated and sent to the producer by email
  • The producer prints 3 copies - one for their own records, one for the transporter and one for the receiver
  • The producer completes all remaining questions on each copy and signs each declaration, ensuring each copy is clear, correct and complete

A few important reminders

  • Producers should have their LPA credentials (PIC, User ID and password) on hand in case they need to use eNVD. You will also need your LPA credentials to be able to renew your LPA accreditation online. If you don't have your LPA credentials, you can call the ISC Helpdesk on 1800 683 111 with your PIC and the customer service officers will be able to provide you with your credentials
  • LPA NVDs need to be clear, correct and complete. This includes eNVDs that are printed and completed manually
  • Producers need to keep a copy of their completed LPA NVDs as per LPA Standards and their State legislation. If an eNVD is completed offline, a copy of the most complete version must be kept on file
